In a heartfelt social media statement, the family of Bia Duka revealed that the well-known Staten Island hair and beauty stylist and social media entrepreneur had passed away by suicide. According to her cousin, Bia Duka, 34, committed suicide but the reason behind it isn’t known yet. She wrote a post to her 18.7k Instagram followers expressing how grieved she is by this tragedy.
Bia who was from Albania was married to Bimi Duka with whom she had three children.
“Life is full of struggles we don’t always see, and today, we lost someone who carried hers so quietly. My cousin was a beautiful, genuine soul who gave so much love to this world,” cousin Berat Islami said.
Bia Duka worked as a stylist, doing hair, cosmetics, lashes, and other services for customers. Clients gave her great marks for professionalism, talent, and skill in her line of work.
The Instagram profile of Bia Duka features a recent romantic shot from the wedding, with many people commenting about her beauty. Many members of the Albanian community, where Barije was originally from, also voiced their shock at hearing of her suicide.
It is unlikely that the woman who had always been so kind and welcoming to everyone around her was dealing with a serious internal issue. She had a network of people who loved her, a successful career, and a lovely family with kids.
August 2024 was the last time she posted on Instagram. Other than that, she had been quite active on the platform.
Bia Duka had more than 19,000 Instagram followers. Links to other websites, such as Amazon, Shop LTK, and Shop My, were added in her Instagram bio so that fans could buy products that the hairstylist herself had bought. Her family photos and glimpses of her travels were all over her Instagram feed.
According to Duka’s Instagram, she seemed to work for Silver Stone Sheet Metal, which is located in Red Hook, New York.

Internet users posted condolence notes for the deceased beauty guru. A number of individuals expressed their sorrow for the loss in the comments section of her most recent Instagram photo, which was posted on August 20 and showed her kids.
