Joy Beune, a Dutch speed skater, stunned everyone by appearing n*de in the December issue of Playb*y Netherlands. The publication sold ten times as many copies on its debut day than any other edition this year, according to editor-in-chief Niek Stolker.
She said, “I was expecting a lot of criticism, but I’ve only heard nice messages from everyone around me and that they think it’s incredibly cool. I didn’t expect so many to go over the counter.”

At the 2017 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Warsaw, Joy Beune took home the silver medal. She won the title of junior world champion in the 2018 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Utah the following year.
