Longtime Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto is leaving the network after 28 years after he declined a contract offer, The Post has learned.

The 66-year-old broadcaster will announce his departure from the network during his show “Your World” Thursday afternoon, a source close to the matter told The Post.

Cavuto’s contract expires at the end of the month and he declined a “generous opportunity” from Fox to renew his contract, the source told The Post.

“Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with FOX News Media,” Fox told The Post in a statement.

“His programs have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry. We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best on his next chapter.”

Though Fox has fared better than other media outlets – ranking as the No. 1 cable news network – it is not immune to financial pressures squeezing the industry, the source said.

Mediaite earlier reported his exit.

The anchor’s current shows – including Fox’s “Your World” on weekdays at 4 pm, “Cavuto Coast to Coast” on Fox Business weekdays at noon and “Cavuto Live” on Saturday mornings – will be hosted by a rotating network of anchors until Fox announces replacement programming in the new year, the source added.

The longtime news anchor has been open about his health scares in the past.

In 2022, Cavuto took a five-week-long leave from anchoring his Fox shows after he nearly died from a second bout of COVID-19.

The illness landed him in the intensive care unit, he said.

“Some of you who’ve wanted to put me out of my misery darn near got what you wished for,” he joked, adding, “Sorry to disappoint you.”

Fox is also owned by The Post’s parent company, News Corp.
