Virgin River Season 6 Ending Explained: Where Did We Leave Virgin River’s Residents?
If you’re searching for a detailed Virgin River Season 6 finale recap, Decider’s got you covered. But if you’re just here for a refresher on Season 6, Episode 10’s main cliffhangers, here’s what you need to know.
After Mel and Jack finally got married, Denny and Lizzie vowed to savor their relationship and not rush into their own marriage. Kaia and Preacher realized they had nothing but time to figure out their future. And after Lark realized that Brady lied to her about his conversation with Brie, she left the wedding reception with Hazel, quit her housekeeping job, and fully cleaned out Brady’s bank account. Meanwhile, Mike proposed to a conflicted Brie, who came clean and told him she slept with Brady, only for him to reply, “I know.”
Mel and Jack awoke the next morning happy, in love, and starving. Jack headed out for breakfast on the condition that he check on Charmaine, who was still MIA after missing the wedding. Mel worried that Char’s phone was going straight to voicemail and she was in the process of taking a restraining order on Calvin. And Jack agreed, so long as Mel remained home. (It’s a good thing she did, because she got a visitor…)
Vernon went straight back to work after the wedding, but his shift was cut short when he received notice from the California State Medical Board that his medical license was suspended pending an investigation. Hope told him she got a call from a woman on the Grace Valley Hospital Board of Directors earlier that morning who said that Grace Valley is looking to expand their network into Virgin River, wants the clinic, and wants Vernon out of the picture. “Not without one hell of a fight,” he assured her.
Before the episode ended, Mel’s pregnant patient Marley (Rachel Drance), visited her and revealed that the prospective parents for her baby were backing out of the adoption, so she wanted Mel and Jack to parent and raise her child in Virgin River!
Finally, Jack arrived at Char’s house, let himself in through an door open, found the living room trashed, and followed the sound of music to the twins’ nursery. He slowly opened the door and his face fell at the sight of what was on the other side. What did he see? Not so fast…
What Is Virgin River Season 7’s Plot?
No doubt, Calvin is involved in whatever mess is about to unfold in Season 7, but the end credits rolled before we got any answers. Is Charmaine dead? Did Calvin takes the twins? Is he dead with Charmaine on the run? Or did something even more expected happen? Virgin River will surely clear that cliffhanger up when the series returns with new episodes.
Aside from keeping up with the town and core characters, Season 7 will also tie up other Season 6 loose ends, including Brady’s next steps post-Lark con (and what, if anything, Jimmy has in store for him), Brie’s answer to Mike’s proposal, the fate of Vernon’s medical career/clinic, and Mel and Jack’s response to Marley’s offer.
Season 7 will also follow Lizzie’s pregnancy, Muriel’s cancer treatment, the progression of Denny’s Huntington’s Disease, Kaia and Preacher’s romance, Mel’s growing relationship with her father, and more quintessential Virgin River drama, romance, and small-town shenanigans.
While you wait for more Virgin River Season 7 updates, the first six seasons of Virgin River are now streaming on Netflix.
