After reportedly stabbing a pregnant woman named Melinda Irizarry over a dozen times for a $2 tip, a pizza delivery worker named Brianna Alvelo in Florida, USA, has been charged with attempted murder
Following a $33 pizza purchase, the startling incident happened at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee. The altercation started after the victim, who was unable to give exact change for a $50 bill, tipped 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo just $2, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Age 22 Alvelo was the pizza delivery driver who handed over a pizza worth $33.10, with Melinda Irizarry paying $50 and asking for change and explained that it wasn’t the restaurant’s policy to provide change, after which Irizarry asked for their money back and went to find two smaller bills.
The switch meant Alvelo was left with just under a $2 tip, with Irizarry witness statement claiming Alvelo ‘rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything’ but the minor tip infuriated Alvelo, who reportedly returned to the motel at around 10 p.m. on Sunday with a disguised, gun-wielding accomplice.
On Sunday (December 22), just three days before Christmas, Melinda Irizarry was staying in a motel in Kissimmee, which is about a 25-minute drive south of Orlando, Florida, with her partner and five year daughter.

The lady was brutally attacked while celebrating her birthday with her boyfriend and kid, who was five years old. During the attack, Brianna Alvelo stabbed her fourteen times, according to the authorities. While attempting to phone for assistance, the woman threw her child onto the bed in an attempt to protect her. But Alvelo allegedly broke the phone so she couldn’t call for help.
Brianna Alvelo arrived in her red Toyota and later returned with her accomplice, according to security footage. After being taken to a nearby hospital, the victim’s status is stable. She is pregnant, according to the doctors’ findings.
Alvelo was swiftly taken into custody by police and is charged with attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, and home invasion. The Osceola County Jail is holding her without bond. The accomplice is still out there.
The owners of Marco’s Pizza, where Alvelo worked, expressed their profound sadness over the occurrence and promised the public that they would fully cooperate with the authorities.

“The safety and well-being of our customers and team members are always our top priority,” the company said in a statement.
Authorities are still looking for Alvelo’s accomplice and trying to piece together all the elements of the crime.
Alvelo is being held in the Osceola County jail with bail set at $55,000, as investigations continue but the male suspect currently remains unidentified, and Alvelo is now facing charges of attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a weapon. No attorney has been listed yet for Alvelo.
Other complaints against Brianna Alvelo
In September 2020, Brianna Alvelo got into a physical altercation with another lady about her being “disrespectful,” according to the documents.
Alvelo, who was eighteen at the time, is accused of slapping the alleged victim in the head while she was loading the dishwasher at a Kissimmee residence. The victim said that she then struck the woman in the arm and the lip.
Alvelo admitted to punching the woman, but she told police that it was just a playful exchange and that she didn’t intend anything.
