PHILADELPHIA — They all wished Good Riddance to this 100th anniversary season from hell, and now it is D-Day for Brian Daboll.
The Giants won their Tank this time with a 20-13 loss to the Eagles at the Linc that secured the third-overall pick of the NFL draft behind the quarterback-needy Titans and Browns and put them within striking distance of Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders.
The tea leaves continue to suggest that GM Joe Schoen will be doing the drafting and Brian Daboll will be doing the coaching — even after this 3-14 eyesore.
Schoen can get Daboll his quarterback now without surrendering a 2026 No. 1 pick, and Daboll’s fate will ultimately rest on whether the owners still have faith that he again can be the quarterback whisperer of yesteryear that made him such a hot commodity and brought him to the Giants in the first place.
