It looks like Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson have long buried the hatchet. On Tuesday, Diesel shared a 2011 throwback photo with The Rock after he gave a shout-out to the former wrestler while presenting at the 2025 Golden Globes.

“All love… Always,” Diesel wrote on Instagram, sharing a throwback photo from the 2011 Fast and Furious 5 premiere.

During Sunday’s Golden Globes, Vin Diesel took the stage as a presenter and snuck in a “Hey, Dwayne” as The Rock looked on with an awkward smile.

The two actors seemed to beef in 2016 after an Instagram video went viral of The Rock calling out a “candy ass” co-star on Instagram with many believing they butted heads during Fate of the Furious.

In a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, Johnson said, “Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

Several years later, Diesel spoke about the issues between the two of them. “It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character,” Diesel said in a 2021 Men’s Health interview. “My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be.”

After Fast X premiered in 2023, Johnson wrote on Instagram that he and Diesel had “put all the past behind us,” adding, “We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve — and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.” Johnson also confirmed his return to the franchise with a new Hobbs spinoff.

John Cena recently spoke about their rumored feud in an interview with the  Armchair Expert podcast. “You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two, there can only be one,” he said.
