Yesterday, a video purporting to show an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) landing in Nagaur, Rajasthan, quickly went viral across social media platforms. The footage showcased a mysterious object seemingly touching down, followed by the alleged emergence of extraterrestrial beings. While the video sparked widespread belief and excitement, further investigation and evidence revealed that the footage was not original, and no such object had appeared in Rajasthan.

Unsurprisingly, many YouTube users seized the opportunity to post conspiracy theories about the incident, which in turn attracted significant attention from both experts and astronomy enthusiasts. While the viral video may have captivated many, experts and enthusiasts quickly dismissed it as a baseless myth, reinforcing the importance of verifying information before jumping to conclusions.
Did an UFO appear in Rajasthan?
A video claiming to show an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) landing in Nagaur, Rajasthan has been making waves on social media. The footage shows a UFO purportedly touching down, with aliens emerging from the craft, while an anchor sensationalizes the claim. The video’s caption reads: “Breaking News: Alien ship seen in Nagaur, Rajasthan! Watch this shocking video. An alien ship has been claimed to be seen in the sky in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Locals observed a strange flying saucer-like object land and recorded it.”
However, after a thorough fact-check the claim was debunked. A search on Google revealed no credible news coverage about the alleged UFO sighting and the local police in Nagaur also confirmed that no such incident had occurred.
Furthermore, a Reverse Image Search of the video’s keyframes led to the discovery of an extended version of the same footage, which was originally uploaded to YouTube on April 8, 2013, exposing the video as an old clip. The original footage can be found at the 02:23-minute mark of the video. In light of this evidence, it can be conclusively stated that the viral video suggesting a UFO landed in Nagaur is entirely baseless.
These videos do not depict real incidents that happened in India and are created by content creators using AI, VFX, or Simulation tools. The video, which features an alien deboarding a spaceship and walking under it is available on the internet from as early as January 2012 and contains Chinese text, which contradicts the claim that this video was filmed in Rajasthan.
Also, the first clip in the video was created by a VFX and AI artist and YouTube content creator Bilawal and he uploads many such VFX videos on his YouTube channel.
