Disturbing footage captured the moment an illegal Guatemalan immigrant fatally stabbed two people including a showgirl during a knife rampage on the iconic Las Vegas strip in 2022.

Yoni Barrios, a 34-year-old Guatemalan national, is suspected of killing showgirl Maris Digiovanni and bystander Brent Hallet with a foot-long kitchen knife as a grand jury prepares to hear the multi-charge case including an act of terrorism.

Barrios identified himself as a chef and asked to take a photo with the performers and his knife on Oct. 6, 2022, according to KLAS.

He allegedly became belligerent when he believed the showgirls were laughing at him because of his clothing, according to a police report obtained by The Post.

Barrios — wearing a white shirt and dark pants — was seen chasing after the red-feathered-clad Digiovanni outside the Wynn Las Vegas, where he fatally plunged the knife into her heart as he sprinted down the block to continue his stabbing spree.

Digiovanni died in the arms of one of the other showgirls, Anna Westby, who suffered a punctured lung in the attack.

“He pulled up a knife and he showed it to us as if modeling it,” Westby told the Post in 2022. “All four of us looked at each other and were trying to make a decision… This is too weird. Do we agree with this? Before we could say anything at all. He grabbed the knife and he stabbed Maris in the heart,”

Another showgirl, Victoria Cayetano, was also injured in the attack.

The knife-wielding menace, who was at the hotel attempting to sell his knives for money to travel back to Guatemala, ran down the sidewalk where he attacked seven other people, including Hallet.

Hallet, 47, died after he was stabbed in the back.

Hallet, who lived in Canada, had returned to Las Vegas with his wife Carmelita for a vacation, 23 years after they married in the city, CBC reported.

Police ended Barrios’ rampage at the Venetian Expo when they tackled him inside the convention center, across the street from the Wynn.

Barrios was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder.

Barrios “indiscriminately” attacked his victims, Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney John Giordani claimed at Tuesday’s Grand Jury hearing, according to the KLAS.

In Dec. 2022, a judge found him unfit for trial and ordered Barrios to a state hospital, where he had been held for two years until he was deemed competent to stand trial this past December, court records viewed by The Post show.

Following his hearing in competency court, Barrios was indicted by a grand jury on 15 felony charges including one count of Act of Terrorism, two counts of murder, six counts of Attempted Murder and six counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

His arraignment continues in court on Thursday, where prosecutors could announce they are seeking the death penalty for Barrios, if found guilty, KLAS reported.
