Pamela Anderson and her ex-husband Tommy Lee haven’t spoken recently, even though they’re expecting a grandchild soon. In a new interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM show, the actress revealed that she hasn’t had the best relationship with her ex, the Mötley Crüe drummer, recently.

When asked by Cohen if the two were on good terms, Anderson said, “I mean, we used to talk a lot more. Not recently, unfortunately, but you know, I wish we did have a better rapport right now.”

Anderson assured that the lack of communication with her ex-husband — with whom Anderson shares share two sons, Brandon, 28, and Dylan, 27 — was merely temporary. “My youngest son is engaged and we’re gonna have grandkids together,” Anderson said, referring to Dylan. “It’ll be okay, eventually. It’s just kind of a moment right now.”

The actor-rock star pair got married in 1995 before divorcing in 1998. They rekindled their romance — which was recently fictionalized in the series Pam & Tommy — several times after separating. In the same SiriusXM interview, Anderson shared her discontent with the TV series, calling it “hurtful.”

“I think ethically it’s illegal,” she said with a laugh. “But I mean it’s kind of fair game. I remember people telling me a long time ago that you are basically public property and you have no right to privacy.”

Despite the show, the actress said she was happy to be getting the “best payback” by earning praise for her lead role in The Last Showgirl. “I’m being seen and recognized for my work and not these tawdry moments,” she said. Anderson was connected to the film’s director, Gia Coppola, through Lee and Anderson’s son Brandon.

“He’s such an amazing person, and he’s the movie star… he loves business. You know, he’s just a deal maker and he loves it,” she said of Brandon.
