Luxury wedding photographer Pervez Taufiq posted video footage of his racial interaction with the woman more than a week ago on his Instagram page as he was leaving a Los Angeles airport with him revealing how the real estate agent and broker from Mammoth Lakes, Arlene Bunch was racist towards his Indian-American family on the United Airlines Shuttle bus at the LAX airport.
Well-known photographer, Taufiq who was born in the US recorded the incident as he, his wife and kids returned from a long week of travel and the woman, 64-year-old Arlene Bunch, began telling his two young sons to shut up.
In footage Bunch is seen flipping the family off, calling them “f*cking crazy,” “tandoori stinky” and saying Indian people “are gross, man.”
Bunch, a licensed California real estate broker, has since claimed in an interview that she was pushed on the flight by Taufiq and that the situation escalated when she, her husband and the young family boarded the bus.
“[They] were aggressive when we loaded the shuttle,” she now says, and claims Taufiq called her a white trash b***h. “None of that is in the video. Most people know me as a very kind, calm person, but since the brain injury, I can get agitated very easily.”
Bunch apparently suffered serious injuries in an explosion caused by a propane leak at her Mammoth Lakes home on March 22, 2023.

Taufiq refers to the woman in the video as “Karen,” a term that is frequently used to describe women who use their whiteness as a weapon, usually under the falsest pretences and especially against racial minorities. The wife of Taufiq left a comment beneath her husband’s post. She said, “ONLY ONE Good Samaritan (the one in the video) who spoke up, but the rest of the bus was consumed by a chilling silence.”
Nicole, who is also a photographer, added, “It wasn’t just the act of racism that stung; it was the apathy of the crowd, the passive acceptance that felt like silent approval. My husband and I felt incredibly alone. The silence from the majority, people who could have chosen to stand for decency, was deafening.”
Even though the video of Arlene Bunch was posted on November 24, it just started to gain popularity this week as angry social media users shared it in an attempt to identify the offender and hold her accountable.
Other social media users, some of whom have a history for publicly identifying others who have encountered circumstances similar to the woman they claim is named Arlene Bunch, appeared to have responded to those hopes by Tuesday.
This includes the well-known social media figure Tizzy, who raised awareness of the event by posting a YouTube video in which he released a cyber-APB on the woman.
