After carrying out the arrests, the police department posted a video showing Rodriguez wearing a white crop top and black shots walking in handcuffs.
‘The Doll’ arrested
The Magdalena Medio Police have reportedly arrested Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, known as “La Muneca” or “The Doll.” According to reports, Karen allegedly carried out the assassination of her ex-boyfriend in Colombia’s Piedecuesta, alongside several other high-profile murders. She reportedly called her former partner, late Deyvy Jesus, on the pretext of meeting her to resolve a financial issue. However, upon his arrival, two armed men shot dead Deyvy on the spot.
According to police reports, the men claim that they carried out the murder on “The Doll” orders. The incident took place in the municipality of Barrancabermeja in Colombia. Police officials reportedly arrested the infamous 23-year-old hitwoman with a revolver and a 9-millimeter calibre pistol.
‘The Doll’ charges
Following the arrest, Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez is charged with orchestrating several hitmen and carrying out multiple killings. She reportedly terrorised a rural region in Colombia with her group of killers. According to reports, Karen reportedly carried out the murders on behalf of the Los de la M gang.
Police carry out other arrests
Alongside arresting Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, police officials also arrested her accomplice Paula Valentina Joya Rueda. The 24-year-old goes by the alias “Gorda Sicaria,” which directly translates to “Fat Hitwoman.” Police also took another accomplice in custody named “Leopoldo.”.
Following arrest, the Departamento de Policía Magdalena Medio shared the arrest on X stating:
A woman alias ‘La Muñeca’ and ‘Leopoldo’ was caught red-handed with a firearm in #Barrancabermeja.”
Lieutenant Colonel Muaricio Herrara of the Magdalena Medio Police also stated:
With the capture of alias La Muneca and alias Leopoldo, a period of calm has been created in the region. These arrests mark progress in the dismantling of criminal structures responsible for the recent homicides.”
